Cardinal Hayes High School senior Eli Fuentes is bound for Syracuse University.
The defensive end tells News 12 that it was love at first sight.
At 6 foot 4 inches and 260 pounds, Fuentes was part of the Hayes program that played in the last two New York City Catholic League championship games - winning it all last season.
He's not the latest in a recent line of "Hayesmen" to play on the Division 1 level.
