CLINTON HILL - Congregants at a Clinton Hill church are not letting a recent fire dampen their holiday spirits.

Flames broke out at the Church of St. Mark and St. Matthew yesterday. However, churchgoers say people are still bringing presents for homeless children as they prepare for Christmas.

Clergy members say helping the community is their top priority, regardless of the damage and rebuilding that lies ahead.

Police say the exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
