A fire broke out at a day care center in Canarsie early Sunday morning.

Citizen App video captured the scene of heavy smoke billowing from the roof.

Officials say the fire began on the fourth floor of the Yeled V'Yalda Early Childhood Center on Farragut Road around 5:45 a.m.

They say about 60 firefighters responded to the call and took them almost an hour to get the fire under control.

One firefighter was treated for minor injuries and the cause is under investigation.
