Food for Thought: School lunches
As students and parents get adjusted to their school routines, News 12's Natasha Geigel spoke with a blogger and her daughter about making school lunches easier and healthier.
Nicole Perino is a mother of two and a lifestyle blogger on her site, Bronx Mama. She's got plenty of ideas to fill up lunchboxes with healthy options.
One tasty option is a chicken wrap. Prepared with chicken, cheese, lettuce and tomato, it's not just your average school sandwich. Condiments aren't recommended, so it doesn't get messy before lunchtime.
Baked chips, veggie chips and nuts are all good snack options. For a drink, Perino says she always stocks her daughter's lunchbox with a bottle of water.
