BROOKLYN - Students at Long Island University (LIU) are helping Brooklyn residents with the rigors of tax season.

The LIU Accounting Society is offering free tax classes to anyone making less than $51,000 a year. More than 100 residents have been helped so far, and students say they expect to assist hundreds more. 

The program is available on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will last until April 13.
