The mayor says New York City needs to be a global hub for public health development.
He unveiled his strategic plan that includes continuing and building on the momentum in the city to prioritize public health. The mayor also plans to invest in innovation and create new high-quality jobs in the city. There will also be a focus on helping historically under-served communities.
The mayor also announced a new citywide rapid COVID-19 testing system. He says investing in public health is investing in economic health.
