Mother: School mum on threat against my child
The mother of a Bronx 6-year-old says her son was threatened at his Roberts Avenue school - and staff members did nothing about it.
The mother, who did not wish to be identified, claims her son was approached by a 13-year-old boy in the bathroom of P.S. 71. The mother says the older child threatened her son, demanding he take off his shoes and pants.
When the 6-year-old refused, his mother says the older child blocked his way out of the bathroom, only letting him leave when the 6-year-old was on the verge of tears. The 6-year-old's mother says her son notified his teacher, who brushed off his claims.
The mother says she is considering taking legal action and hopes the school's principal will consider stepping down.
Police tell News 12 The Bronx the 13-year-old boy was arrested for unlawful imprisonment. The 6-year-old was not physically hurt but his mother says he's traumatized.
