BROOKLYN - One man is dead and another two injured after three different shootings overnight in Brooklyn.

Police responded to a 911 call of a man shot just after 2 a.m. at the Kingsborough Houses in Brownsville. Police say they found a man with a gunshot wound to the torso, lying on the ground near the building. The victim was taken to Interfaith Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Shamon Cook. Relatives say he was a family man who was well-liked by the community.

Another man was shot in the neck at 803 Saratoga Ave. and was rushed to the hospital. Police were in pursuit of three suspects involved in the shooting, but lost track of them.

A third man was taken to the hospital after getting shot in the back on East 96th Street.

No arrests have been made in any of the shootings and police are still investigating.
