BROOKLYN - One person is dead and another in the hospital after a two-car crash in Brownsville.

According to police, a black Mustang was traveling east on Linden Boulevard Sunday afternoon when it struck a median, flew into a light pole and slammed into another vehicle.

A 19-year-old who was driving one of the cars went into cardiac arrest in the ambulance and later died. The other person hurt is in stable condition at Brookdale Hospital.

The accident remains under investigation.
