1 killed, 2 injured in barber shop shooting

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - Police say an argument between neighboring store owners led to a well-known barber shop owner being killed and two other people being wounded.

Witnesses say the owner of Presidential Kutz and the owner of a neighboring tire shop got into a verbal and physical argument. According to witnesses, the owner of the tire shop pulled out a gun and shot the other man. The witnesses say that after shooting the man, the tire shop owner then shot himself in the thigh. Police say the 30-year-old owner of the barber shop was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.

Investigators say they caught a third man fleeing the scene with a gunshot wound. Officials say the tire shop owner and third man were both taken to the hospital for treatment.
