1 killed, 5 hurt in Bushwick blaze

BROOKLYN - Officials say a fire at a Bushwick apartment building has left one person dead and five others injured. Authorities say the blaze broke out at around 4:30 a.m. Monday at 55 Harrison Place and was contained about two hours later. Officials say the dead victim was a 17-year-old girl who was trapped on the second floor of the building. According to fire officials, the other victims suffered non-lifethreatening injuries.It is not yet known what caused the fire.
