BROWNSVILLE - A 1-year-old boy is dead after being shot in the head in Brownsville.

According to authorities, Antiq Hennis was killed as his parents pushed him in a stroller on Bristol Street, near Livonia Avenue, at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. A police source says that the boy's father was the intended target.

Hennis was rushed to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The baby's family spoke publicly today about the shooting, thanking everyone for the support they've received.

Police have not yet made any arrests or identified any suspects. The investigation is ongoing.
