BROOKLYN - A 10-year-old boy saved the day after two armed men forced their way into his Canarsie home.

According to police, the men showed up at the house on East 80th Street early Monday night. One of the suspects tried to get into a room, but a 40-year-old woman slammed the door on his arm, making him drop his gun.

Investigators say the young boy then stepped in, picked up the weapon and fired. No one was injured, but the men took off.

Two teenage girls were also in the home at the time.

The suspects are described as black males in their 20s. One of them was wearing a FedEx uniform.
