10-year-old girl struck by police cruiser on Mother Gaston Boulevard in Brownsville

The child is in stable condition at Kings County Hospital. (5/5/14)

BROOKLYN - A 10-year-old girl is in stable condition after being struck by a police cruiser in Brownsville. 
 
Cops say the girl ran out into Mother Gaston Boulevard, near Lots Avenue, at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. 
 
The cruiser had a green light at the time of the accident, according to investigators. 
 
The child is being treated at Kings County Hospital. The officer involved was taken to Jamaica Hospital for evaluation.
