10-year-old hit by stray bullet recovering

BROOKLYN - The 10-year-old boy who was shot by a stray bullet last night is recovering, according to police.

Police say the boy was hit while he was sitting inside the living room of his first-floor apartment in East New York. Police say there was a shooting outside around 9 p.m.

Investigators say the boy was hit in the neck and shoulder and was taken to Brookdale hospital in stable condition.

Police are still investigating the shooting.
