104-year-old strongman dies after collision

BROOKLYN - (AP) - A Coney Island strongman who lived to be 104 hasdied after he was hit by a minivan in Brooklyn.

Local legend Joseph Rollino was struck Monday morning as he wascrossing Bay Ridge Parkway in Brooklyn near his home. He suffered abroken pelvis, head trauma and broken ribs in the accident and dieda few hours later at Lutheran Medical Center. He was known as "KidDundee" in his boxing days and was regarded as a model of health.

Police say the driver was going the speed limit and had not beendrinking. She was issued a summons for a defective horn.
