BROOKYLN - A building in Downtown Brooklyn was closed due to flooding the same day it reopened following a power outage.

People at 111 Livingston St. say there are constant issues with the building. News 12 received calls yesterday complaining about a power outage in the building. People were upset that they couldn't make their appointments. The building houses offices for state agencies for disability and workers compensation, along with other offices.

According to the city's Department of Buildings, there were two complaints on Thursday in regard to a defective elevator. On Wednesday, there was a complaint about a certificate of occupancy. People who use the building say this is very inconvenient and that they fear for their safety.

The city's Department of Buildings tells News 12 it has received several complaints about the building and that it is investigating.
