BROOKLYN - A 12-year-old boy who attends I.S. 318 in Brooklyn has become one of the youngest people to win a national title for chess.

Justus Williams earned the master title from the United States Chess Federation, setting a record as the youngest African-American master.

He says he's worked hard and practiced a lot to earn the title.

Williams says his next goal is to qualify for the World Youth Chess Championship, which will take place in Brazil this October.
