Cops say a 14-year-old boy is the latest victim in a string of violence in Coney Island after he was shot in the leg early

CONEY ISLAND - Cops say a 14-year-old boy is the latest victim in a string of violence in Coney Island after he was shot in the leg early this morning.

Police say the teenager was hit by a stray bullet in the lobby of his apartment building near West 33rd Street, just blocks away from where a toddler was shot over the weekend. It is also the same neighborhood where a mother of seven was shot and killed last month.

Residents say they no longer feel safe in their own neighborhood and are angry that another innocent child has been hurt.
