16-year-old girl fatally shot in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN - A 16-year-old girl was shot and killed in Boerum Hill yesterday night.

Police say Al-Taya Conyers was killed in the middle of Warren Street in front of a church.

According to police, the girl called them for help several times before. The teen had filed an order of protection against a black male in his 20s. Police are not releasing any information as to the relationship between the teen and the man or whether that person is connected to the murder.
