BROOKLYN - Amid a rash of tour bus crashes, two bus companies in Brooklyn have had their operating licenses suspended.

Officials say Best Travel Corp. and Big Apple Bus Charter Inc. have repeatedly failed roadside safety inspections in the last six months.

The suspensions are part of a statewide initiative. Gov. Andrew Cuomo says he has suspended the operating licenses of eight charter and tour bus companies in New York after repeated failures in safety inspections.

He says the companies each failed three or more roadsideinspections of buses or drivers in the last six months.
