BROOKLYN HEIGHTS - Two subway lines in Brooklyn scored poorly in this year's State of the Subways report.

The NYPIRG Straphangers Campaign report rated the C and 2 subway lines as the worst. The C line, which received a low ranking for the third straight year, was given poor marks on service, mechanical delays and inaudible subway announcements. The 2 line was found to be the most lacking in seat availability during rush hour.

Some subway riders in Brooklyn Heights say they would like to give the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) a failing grade overall.

MTA officials, however, say they consider the report a fun and unique take on its services.
