2 Brownsville boys shot while playing outdoors

BROOKLYN - Police say two boys were shot and injured while playing outdoors in Brownsville yesterday.

Investigators say Jahquan Cross, 12, and Tyrese Bollers, 10, appeared to be caught in a crossfire in their Brownsville neighborhood.

Cross was shot in the wrist and Boller was hit twice in the leg, according to officials.

Cross, who was released from the hospital today, says he and Boller were riding their bikes when a man began shooting. He says they tried to hide under a car but they both wound up shot.

Boller is still hospitalized and is listed in stable condition.
