BROOKLYN - Two class-action lawsuits were filed last month against the NYPD for alleged discrimination.

One was filed by six traffic agents employed by the NYPD and the other by four NYPD officers. All are minorities who claim they were forced to use a quota system targeting mainly minorities. They also say they were punished within the department more severely than their white co-workers for not meeting those numbers.
