2 killed, 5 injured in Fort Hamilton Parkway crash

BOROUGH PARK - Two people are dead and five others are injured after police say a stolen car crashed into a city medical examiner's van Tuesday.According to police, the accident occurred around 3 a.m. at Fort Hamilton Parkway and 44th Street in Borough Park.

Officials say the driver of the Nissan Altima was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The passenger in the front of the car was taken to the hospital, but did not survive.Police say three other passengers in the car were hospitalized with injuries due to the crash. According to police, the driver and passengers in the medical examiner's van are in stable condition.Officials say the car was reported stolen on Jan. 19.Click here for neighborhood reaction.
