BROOKLYN - Two police officers in Brooklyn who were shot on a subway car have been released from the hospital.

Officers Lukasz Kozicki and Michael Levay were shot yesterday on the N train. The officers were in plainclothes when they approached a man aboard the train near the Fort Hamilton station.

When they asked the suspect for identification, the man allegedly reached for a gun and opened fire.

Levay returned fire and killed 37-year-old Peter Jourdan, of Pennsylvania.
