BEDFORD-STUYVESANT - Two alleged teenage gang members have been charged with attempted murder after investigators say they opened fire at a police officer over the weekend.

Police say the incident, which was caputred on a surveillance video, happened Sunday in front of 120 Chauncey St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

According to investigators, one suspect on a bike purposely distracted the officer while 19-year-old Keith Myers fired shots in the officer?s direction.

Police believe the duo was working together to target the officer, but Myers told detectives he was aiming for a nearby car.

The officer, whose name has not been released, was not injured in the incident and did not return fire. The other suspect is 15 years old.
