2 vets honored for fight against animal cruelty

BROOKLYN - Two Brooklyn Veterinarians have been honored for helping in the fight against animal cruelty.

Brooklyn district attorney Charles Hynes is coming down strong against animal abusers and commending those who contribute to ending abuse and neglect toward animals. He wants stricter laws to be enforced for those who mistreat animals and says that Dr. Robert Reisman and Dr. Brett Levitzke helped bring animal abuse cases to justice.

The awards are given each year to those who have made a major part in the battle against animal cruelty.
