GRAVESEND - A second person was killed Friday within months of another death at a dangerous intersection in Gravesend.

Many residents who live near the intersection at Avenue O and West 6th Street say they have witnessed or heard of the fatal accidents. A 50-year-old person was killed on New Year's Day while attempting to cross the street.

Police say the blood alcohol content of the driver of the livery cab that struck the victim was over the legal limit.

A spokesperson from the Department of Transportation says they are looking into the situation.
