BROOKLYN - The city's Department of Education has announced it's phasing out three poorly performing schools in Brooklyn.

The schools scheduled to be shuttered are the Metropolitan Corporate Academy High School, the Middle School for Academic and Social Excellence and Paul Robeson High School.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg has said he's willing to close down the bottom 10 percent of city schools to improve student performance.
