BROOKLYN - MakerBot, a 3-D printer company, is bringing jobs and high tech manufacturing to Sunset Park.

MakerBot’s 30-pound desktop 3-D printer creates objects from plastic, rotating on a spool and heating up until it melts.

The heated plastic is then layered to create a finished product.

The factory employs more than 100 workers and ships dozens of products a day.

MakerBot is currently creating gumball machine toys.
