3 dead, 1 hurt in rash of violence in Bed-Stuy

BROOKLYN - A night of violence in Bedford-Stuyvesant has left three people dead and one wounded, police say.

According to investigators, at around 1:15 a.m. a 22-year-old man was shot to death at a payphone.

An hour and a half later, another person was fatally shot at Halsey Street and Wilson Avenue, police say. Just a few minutes later, a man was stabbed to death a few blocks away. Police arrested the suspect in the stabbing.

Police say at around 4 a.m., shots were fired on Jefferson Street, grazing a person in the head. The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
