BROOKLYN - Three people were injured after a fire extinguisher exploded in a Canarsie gas station.

The incident occurred at the corner of Remsen and Ditmas avenues. Fire officials say someone was pumping gas when the device exploded possibly due to heat exposure.

All three people were taken to Brookdale Hospital and are in stable condition.
