BROOKLYN - Many of the people who came out to Prospect Park this morning to barbecue and enjoy the nice weather were unaware of the dangers of the West Nile virus, which had already resurfaced in New York City.

So far, three people have been infected with the virus, according to the New York City Health Department.

Josh Levine, who was at the park with his two children, says he's not worried about mosquitoes, which are the carriers of the virus.

The New York City Health Department is urging people to use insect repellent to prevent the West Nile virus. Health officials also recommend wearing long pants and long-sleeved shirts during dawn and dusk hours.
