4-alarm fire engulfs 2 Bay Ridge homes

Two homes were destroyed this morning following a massive four-alarm fire in Bay Ridge. According to fire officials, flames broke out at around 3:30 a.m.

BROOKLYN - Two homes were destroyed this morning following a massive four-alarm fire in Bay Ridge.

According to fire officials, flames broke out at around 3:30 a.m. at 168 81st St. They say the fire quickly spread next door, but that all tenants were able to escape.

At least four firefighters were injured, with one showing signs of heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
