4 convicted in temple-bombing plot

BROOKLYN - A jury has found four men guilty of trying to blow up two Bronx synagogues and shoot down military planes in upstate New York.

The men, James Cromitie, David Williams, Onta Williams and Laguerre Payen, all from Orange County, N.Y., were convicted on charges including conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction and conspiracy to acquire and use anti-aircraft missiles to kill U.S. officers and employees.

The men were arrested in May 2009 shortly after officials said they planted mock explosive devices outside the two synagogues. The men will be sentenced March 24 - .
