4 indicted in financial scam linked to slayings

BROOKLYN - Investigators have indicted four people for financial schemes related to the double homicide of attorney Mark Schwartz and his wife, Christina Petrowski.

Authorities say the 18-month investigation uncovered a trail of money laundering, identity theft, mortgage fraud and larceny. The indictment states the group defrauded clients of Schwartz?s law firm.

The four suspects face up to 25 years in prison if convicted.

A probe into the double homicide is ongoing.
