BROOKLYN - Four new bills up for discussion could help protect passengers from being scammed by taxi and limousine drivers.

News 12 reported in March that thousands of drivers were using out-of-city rates for passengers traveling within the city. Another report found drivers used cash-only lanes to pay tolls instead of E-ZPass lanes.

The bills would require more accountability, including monthly complaint reports, by the Taxi and Limousine Commission.
