4 people injured during overnight fire at 1085 East 53rd St. in East Flatbush

Three people and one firefighter were injured during an overnight fire in East Flatbush. It took firefighters about 25 minutes to put the fire out.

One victim is being treated for burns; three others were treated for smoke inhalation.

EAST FLATBUSH - Four people were injured during an overnight fire in East Flatbush. The flames broke out at 1085 East 53rd St. near Avenue H at around 2:41 a.m.

A young woman is being treated at Staten Island University's burn unit. The other two victims and a firefighter were treated for smoke inhalation, and are expected to be OK.

When firefighters arrived, they say the front of the second floor was fully engulfed. It took them about 25 minutes to put the fire out.
