BROOKLYN - There's no need to travel to Rockefeller Center to get in the holiday spirit when Brooklyn has its own 40-foot Christmas tree.

The tree lights were illuminated during a ceremony at Borough Hall Plaza last night to the tune of local musicians and singers.

The shining display was selected by Timeout New York as one of the few trees worth seeking out.
