$40K worth of computers stolen from M.S. 57

BROOKLYN - Robbers broke into a Bedford-Stuyvesant school overnight, getting away with more than $40,000 worth of computers, according to authorities. Police say 15 Apple computers priced at $2,500-$3,000 each were stolen from M.S. 57 sometime last night. Surveillance footage from the school shows that four people were involved in the theft.The same computer lab had been broken into several months ago, but nothing was stolen then."My children are brokenhearted because this computer lab, just it's the heart of our school," says Principal Celeste Douglas.Police say an alarm went off at M.S. 57 last night, but when officers arrived on the scene, they weren't able to get into the school.
