BROOKLYN - Forty six schools around Brooklyn were spruced up today thanks to the volunteers who lended a helping hand on New York Cares Day.

One school, P.S. 636, located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, received a large outdoor mural. The mural's theme centers around urban education.

Volunteers at P.S. 636 also painted 20 smaller canvas murals that tell stories about the importance of school values.
