49 indicted in major gang takedown in East NY

BROOKLYN - The Kings County District Attorney's Office has announced a major gang takedown in East New York, resulting in the indictments of 49 people.

According to authorities, the two gangs have been terrorizing the neighborhood for the past three years with crimes that include three murders and 12 shootings.

Investigators say the gangs are known as the "Rock Stars" and "VCG," which stands for Very Crispy Gangsters. They say members often threatened and intimidated each other on Facebook.
