$5,000 reward offered for information on elderly man's shooter

BROOKLYN - A $5,000 reward is being offered for information about the person who shot an elderly bystander Thursday in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.

Police say Alberto Feliciano, 88, was sitting in his car with his wife when a fight between two groups of men broke out nearby. A man sitting on a bicycle began firing, and a stray bullet ripped through Feliciano?s car door and lodged in his abdomen, according to officials.

The shooting happened at Flatbush Avenue and Winthrop Street, investigators say.

Feliciano was rushed to Kings County Hospital and is expected to survive.

Local legislators are offering a cash reward for information leading to the shooter?s capture.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
