MANHATTAN - According to authorities, a five-alarm fire broke out around 3 a.m. Tuesday on W. 17th Street in Chelsea.

Officials say the fire spread to the roof of the building, which was under construction.

Firefighters believe the building is now in danger of collapsing.

No injuries have been reported.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
