Five people were taken to the hospital today after flames broke out at a home in Bushwick. Officials say the fire started at around 5:45

BROOKLYN - Five people were taken to the hospital today after flames broke out at a home in Bushwick.

Officials say the fire started at around 5:45 a.m. at a private residence on Knickerbocker Avenue. They say two firefighters and three residents suffered minor injuries, but are all expected to be OK.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
