Five police officers were hospitalized after two of their cruisers crashed into each other in Brooklyn.

BROOKLYN - Five police officers were hospitalized after two of their cruisers crashed into each other in Brooklyn Wednesday.

Police say it happened on Thomas S Boyland Street and Livonia Avenue around 12 a.m. 

The NYPD says police were responding to a foot pursuit in the area when both vehicles crashed into each other causing one of the cars to overturn.

The officers were taken to Kings County and Jamaica hospitals with minor injuries, according to police.

The crash is still under investigation.
