6 firefighters injured in morning blaze

OCEAN HILL - Six firefighters were sent to the hospital with minor injuries after battling large flames in Ocean Hill Wednesday morning.

According to officials, the fire began on the third floor of a three-story building located at 1102 Herkimer St. The blaze spread quickly, damaging some neighboring homes.

Members of the Red Cross say the building is believed to have had squatters inside. Fire officials say most of the damage is water related and isolated to the roof.
