BROOKLYN - Six people were hurt after shots rang out during a house party in Brownsville.

According to police, five males were shot and one female was pistol-whipped at the Howard Houses complex on Glenmore Avenue just after midnight.

Police say the six teenagers, all between ages 16 and 19, were waiting to take the elevator to a party on the sixth floor when the gunman opened fire in the lobby.

Authorities say all of the victims were taken to nearby hospitals in stable condition.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
