BROOKLYN - An elderly woman is dead after being struck by a car in Williamsburg. 

Police say 80-year-old Margarita Seda was crossing the intersection of Grand Street and Graham Avenue Tuesday when she was hit by a Department of Education vehicle. 

She was rushed to Bellevue Hospital and pronounced dead. 

The driver remained on the scene, but was given two summonses for failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care.
